Firefox as Windows Explorer

I'm not planning to tinker with this one at the moment, but this seems like the right place to mention it:
It would be handy to have a Firefox extension that turned Firefox into a good quality file explorer - i.e. alternative for Windows Explorer.
Obviously, it's already possible to view a local directory path in Firefox, but it isn't very pretty - see pic.



So, er, long live tabbed fle browsing...(?).. anyone else like the idea? :))
